5 Powerful Marketing Tips That Cost Little or Zero Dollars

An ancient philosopher once said, "The best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time." and the modern interpretation is, "The best way to complete a big task is to break it down into little tasks."

Today 8 out of 10 homebuyers use the Internet as part of the buying decision process.  For better or for worse, this means your Web-based marketing is the most visible form of marketing you can do over the next 12 months, and this can make Web-based marketing feel like a mind-bending big task.

The marketing tips presented here are 5 little tasks that are part of an effective Web-based marketing plan. These tips are used by some of the most successful agents in the industry and best of all they cost little or zero dollars.

Tip 1:  Make it easy to do business with you.  Make it even easier for email recipients to call you.
Add your telephone number to your last name to make it visible even if a person doesn't open your email.  The "From" line on your email messages will look something like this "From: Cheryl Bills 425-486-7778".

Tip 2:  Invite callers to visit your Website - using your Voice mail greeting.
The keyword is "INVITE".  Give callers a reason to visit your Website (i.e. To see this month's Showcase homes visit: www.DomainName.com).

Tip 3: Tell readers to visit your Website - using your Email signature.
People are more likely to do what you want if you direct them.  Don't simply post your Domain name.  If they make it down to your email signature, tell readers what to do next (i.e. Check out my current listings at www.DomainName.com).

Tip 4:  Improve the appeal of your "About ME" page (a.k.a. your bio-page).
Use the "What's in it for me (the client)?" approach.  In reality, most people really don't care that much about you or what you have done.  They are more interested in themselves and what's in it for them if they do business with you.

Tip 5:  Add a compelling statement above your Buyer/Seller forms and encourage submission.
Structure your compelling statement using the AIDA marketing formula.  This means: try to grab your prospects Attention and peak their Interest enough to create a personal Desire that compels them to take an Action you want.

There you have it -- 5 bites of a successful Web-based marketing plan.  Remember it's the accumulative effect of a lot of little things that can make a big difference.  By adopting these 5 low-cost, no-cost, easy-to-do tasks you are improving your odds of success. You are encouraging interaction and moving your prospects from the 'less-likely' column to the 'more-likely' column.
